What music is to me
- Music gives me a way to escape. It gives me a way to express exactly how i feel without having to think about it. words don't flow well with me. but music just flows out of my mouth so easily like a stream of water off a waterfall. It gives me my way out of this horrible world and into whoever i want to be. and music lets me be exactly who i want to be.
letters from dead lovers
Pictures of old friends
are like letters from dead lovers
postdated
and curling yellow at the corners,
still fresh with the scent of Kentucky summers
even after
three years
in a dry closet
and like this poem
it goes on
until time chews holes
through our grainy photograph faces.
